Kentucky Forest Industries Association has been your voice to support an industry that is built on the best renewable resource in the world. There is still time to register and attend the 56th annual meeting and learn about current issues affecting the hardwood industry.

Exhibitor numbers and registered attendees are coming in at a rapid pace for the meeting and hotel rooms have filled up fast as registration numbers continue to look great.  The meeting will take place at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, KY on April 6-8, 2021.

There will be a variety of discussions and activities to enjoy during the event.  A number of opportunities will be made available for attendees to gather and discuss current issues, and meet with customers both new and old.  The meeting will get underway with the John C. Smith Memorial Golf outing at the University Club of Kentucky Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky.  The golf outing is a fun event that everyone enjoys and all golfers regardless of abilities are invited to play.  U-C Coatings LLC. will be sponsoring a “$500 cash shootout”.  ISK Biocides, Inc. will sponsor the beverage cart on the golf course.  An evening Welcome Reception in the exhibit area will wrap up a busy day for those that want to get   together for some fellowship and find out the golf winners.

All of this along with receptions both nights and the always great network opportunity on Wednesday afternoon offered by the Robinson Lumber Company / Van Meter Hospitality Suite with shrimp and crawfish straight from New Orleans.

With so many topics of discussion a Welcome Session has been scheduled for Wednesday morning with speakers touching on the national legislative issues such as trade tariffs to the    pandemic and other issues that affect the hardwood business.  Followed by the KFIA/KY Tree Farm Awards Luncheon.

On Thursday, April 8 the last day of the meeting begins with breakfast in the exhibit area.  The General Session will cover   recent issues with transportation issues and funding for infrastructure,  labor force issues and opportunities to improve followed by current Covid relief programs.
