Recently Kentucky has experienced several severe tornado events that have caused damaged to woodlands throughout the state. KFIA has been involved with a number of state agencies and partners to provide marketing information for storm damaged wood to assist with clean up efforts. KFIA is here for our members and anyone affected by the recent tornadoes. Many members are in areas of complete devastation and are digging out of the rubble. We have contacted a number of members and most of the our member manufacturing facilities that we are aware of sustained minimal damage. We are also moved by the many KFIA members that are offering assistance in local communities through use of both equipment and manpower to help with recovery efforts. We have had several people contact the KFIA office inquiring how they can help the affected areas, according to the local Officials they are currently in need of monetary donations or gift cards to help the families. ...
