The Pandemic Assistance for Timber Harvesters and Haulers program (PATHH) is administered by FSA in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service. Loggers and truckers can apply for assistance through USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) July 22 through Oct. 15, 2021. We recently completed a resounding successful 56th Annual Meeting in Lexington, Kentucky at the Embassy Suites on April 6, 7 & 8. Even under the current Covid -19 restrictions we had a great meeting with 250 in attendance and 26 exhibitors. Those in attendance gained valuable information while having time to network with others in the hardwood industry from throughout the country. KFIA is pleased to announce that the 2022 Annual Meeting will return to Lexington, KY on March 29-31. The Real American Hardwood Promotion is an initiative being undertaken by the state, regional and national hardwood associations to promote the use of hardwoods across all industry segments. The Associations have combined resources to fund research to learn how hardwoods can be better marketed to the consumer and discover how decisions are made when purchasing a wide range of hardwood products.

The Kentucky Forest Industries Association (KFIA) represents the wood products industry, landowners and forestry interests in Kentucky. The Association promotes the economic welfare and interests of the wood products industry through a number of programs and work with regulatory agencies advocating for forestry in the legislative process at the state and national level.
